About Our Family
We are the Price family, and we live on a small homestead in the heart of Central California.
Our days are centered around family life, animals, and caring for the land we’re fortunate to call home. We homeschool our four children, which means our puppies are raised right alongside us—surrounded by constant interaction, gentle handling, and the rhythms of a busy, loving household until they go home with their new families.
Alongside our Goldendoodles, we also run a small mobile petting zoo and care for a variety of animals. Life here is full, hands-on, and always connected to the animals we love and care for.
We feel incredibly grateful to experience the earliest stages of life with our animals and to share that experience with our children. It’s a privilege we don’t take lightly, and it shapes the way we raise every puppy that comes into our home.
More Than Puppies — A Part of Your Family’s Story
At Old Lake Doodles, we believe raising exceptional puppies starts long before they go home. Every breeding pair is carefully selected based on health, genetics, and temperament, with the goal of producing loving, well-rounded companions that fit seamlessly into family life.
From the time our puppies are born, they begin a thoughtfully designed puppy curriculum that includes age-appropriate exposure to new sounds, textures, scents, people, and experiences. These early interactions help build confidence and teach puppies that the world is a safe and welcoming place.
As the puppies grow, we carefully observe their development and conduct temperament evaluations at 6–7 weeks of age. This gives us valuable insight into each puppy's unique personality and allows us to help guide families toward the puppy that best fits their lifestyle.
We believe choosing a puppy is about far more than appearance. Our goal is to provide every puppy with a strong foundation and help every family find a companion they will cherish for years to come.
