Our Puppy Curriculum

About Our Puppy Curriculum

We have chosen to incorporate a well known puppy curriculum into our breeding program. It is a comprehensive and innovative program designed to empower puppies, and teach them that the world is a safe place, people are friendly, and dogs are good.  This curriculum goes beyond traditional puppy training by incorporating exposure to new stimuli at critical periods of development. With a focus on exposure to different sounds, textures, scents and people, this curriculum aims to empower puppies to become confident dogs.

BAB In A Nutshell

Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Early Scent Introduction (ESI) are started on day 3 of the puppies’ life.  ESI involves introducing the puppies to different scents and eventually different surfaces at key developmental points.  ENS involves gently touching on specific parts of their bodies for a short amount of time.  These two techniques aim to help improve stress responses, improve resilience and help each pup become a more confident dog.

Confidence-building activities are woven into the curriculum to nurture puppies' self-assuredness. Puppies engage in various challenges and problem-solving tasks that boost their confidence in their abilities. This resilience not only helps puppies navigate unfamiliar situations but also enhances their adaptability, ensuring they thrive in diverse environments.

The curriculum we utilize exposes puppies to real-world scenarios they are likely to encounter as they grow. It helps puppies become comfortable with everyday situations, minimizing anxiety and stress in various contexts.
